In its third deal of the year, and first-ever in the Middle East, global strategy consulting firm Kearney has acquired Management Solutions Experts, a homegrown management consultancy firm with offices in Riyadh, Dubai and Beirut.
The purchase of Management Solutions Experts (MSE) builds on a multi-year collaboration between the two firms. Bob Willen, managing director and chair of Kearney in the Middle East and Africa, said the firm is now delighted to fully integrate the “talented team of MSE” within the Kearney family.
“MSE’s local expertise and its complementary capabilities have already increased the value of what Kearney delivers for our Middle East clients. By combining forces, we will be able to offer more comprehensive end-to-end support.”
Established in 2005 in Lebanon and currently led by partners Imad Moujaes, Fadi Boutros and Hady Touma (who all have a background at Booz & Company), Management Solutions Experts specialises in strategy implementation and guiding large business transformation through organisational change, people development, and technology.
The firm, which has around 100 staff according to LinkedIn, works for both governments and private sectors organisations, with its roster of clients including ministries, Al Rahji Bank, Dubai Municipality, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Sabic, and STC.
“MSE is a highly regarded Middle Eastern consulting firm that has carved out a position for itself as a valuable partner for strategy execution and implementation,” claimed Willen, a near 30-year veteran of Kearney (formerly A.T. Kearney).
As part of the transaction, Management Solutions Experts will continue to operate independently and autonomously within the Kearney ecosystem, in a similar approach to that used for 2021 acquisition Prokura and 2023 purchase Silicon Foundry. All three firms operate with the tageline ‘A Kearney company’.
“The MSE acquisition represents a continuation of Kearney’s strategy of using inorganic moves to accelerate its top-line growth and better serve clients worldwide,” stated Kearney in a statement.
In between Silicon Foundry and today’s MSE bolt-on, Kearney purchased German industrial design specialist TEAMS.
Meanwhile, for Management Solutions Experts, the joining of forces with the global consulting firm will provide “great opportunities to our people and clients,” said founder and managing director Moujaes. “Our work with Kearney in the last few years has made it clear just how much cultural alignment there is between the two firms.”
