Accenture has acquired ON Service Group, enhancing its business process services capabilities in the insurance sector.

Headquartered in Siegburg, with additional offices in Hamburg and Munich, ON Service Group has more than 20 years of experience delivering operations services across property and casualty, life and health insurance processes. The company has around 200 professionals.

Now part of Accenture, the ON Service Group team will be integrated into the company’s Operations business unit, which provides managed services for business process and technology.

“By using managed services, businesses can effectively gain access to digital capabilities, process expertise and specialist talent to quickly deliver outcomes at scale”, said Tanja Mertin, who leads Accenture Operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “With the acquisition of ON Service Group, we are further enhancing our industry specific capabilities and services to help our insurance clients succeed and drive growth.”

“Ever-changing customer expectations, a complex regulatory agenda and skills shortages – these are just some of the challenges that insurance companies are facing,” said Christina Raab, market unit lead for Accenture in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “With the acquisition of ON Service Group, we can extend our consulting and technology offerings to managed services and provide an end-to-end service.”

The deal – financial terms have not been disclosed – continues a traditional M&A campaign for Accenture. In Europe, the firm earlier this year absorbed the likes of Objectivity, Einr, Optimind, and SKS Group.
