Protiviti has deepened its finance and procurement capabilities through a partnership with Apptio, a provider of technology spend management solutions.
The partnership will see Protiviti integrate Apptio’s range of solutions into its portfolio of finance and procurement consulting services. This includes ApptioOne (which analyses IT spend) and Cloudability (which sheds light on total cost of ownership for cloud applications).
Protiviti will also become a preferred implementation partner of the two solutions, helping its clients roll-out Apptio’s platforms to establish granular visibility over technology and cloud investments, and drive greater business value from spend.
“Many enterprises and large mid-market organisations are still reeling in excess technology and cloud spend,” said Marie Nalty from Apptio. “This partnership will put joint customers in a stronger position to weather the storm and divert funds to where it really matters through Protiviti’s expansive consulting experience and Apptio’s comprehensive cost management capabilities.”
“Our goal is to enable customers to establish financial operations that remove the mystery of cloud spend through a data-driven approach.”
Alexander Setchin, Managing Director at Protiviti, added, “Transitioning finances to the cloud, effectively transferring spend from CapEx to OpEx, is an ongoing struggle, and typically comes with mixed results and significant waste. Through our partnership with Apptio, we will help customers build an organisational culture of financial accountability to tackle the many variables in cloud costs, and ensure their teams can collaborate to maximise the outcomes they get for every dollar spent.”
The freshly inked Australian collaboration builds on a longstanding relationship between the two companies. US-headquartered Apptio (which is an IBM company) works with several local Protiviti organisations, including in the US and the UK.
