Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced the appointment of Lawrence Ferrara as a Senior Director and Global Chief Learning Officer in its Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG). Mr. Ferrara’s joining demonstrates Global TAG’s commitment to investing in its people, regardless of market conditions, and aligning its global network of relationship-driven trusted advisors with its integrated approach to serving clients worldwide.
Mr. Ferrara leads organizations through the talent development strategy and operations lifecycle. His in-depth learning and design, technology and business expertise informs the leading-edge workforce transformation strategies, aligning talent and business, across functions, business units and the enterprise.
Mr. Ferrara’s hiring further connects Global TAG’s talent growth strategy to its expanding geographic footprint most recently in Australia, Canada and China. His appointment helps promote shared learning and development (L&D) best practices with the private equity (PE) community and builds upon the recent hire of Managing Director Vivian Santora, who focuses on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Inclusive Diversity-related matters.

Mr. Ferrara has defined and delivered talent development vision and strategy for consumer markets, industrial products and services sectors. Additionally, he designed a firm-wide digital upskilling learning experience focused on emerging technologies, data and automation that culminated in a digital credential offered both externally and internally.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ferrara spent 17 years with Learning & Development at PwC in New York, serving most recently as Learning Strategy Leader for the Deals and Cybersecurity, Risk and Regulatory platforms in Consulting. Previously, Mr. Ferrara was the Chief Learning Officer for ProEdge, PwC’s commercial upskilling and citizen-led innovation platform focused on leading-edge workforce transformation.
