Management consultancy AlixPartner announced the promotion of 21 people to the new role of partner & managing director (PMD), including 14 in the United States. The New York-headquartered firm also hired Scott Pinsonnault as a Dallas-based partner & managing director in its turnaround & restructuring team.
The new US PMDs are:
Randy Chapman (Consumer Products, New York) brings over 25 years of C-Suite and advisory experience within public and private-equity settings. He is skilled in designing and leading acquisitions, integrations, carve-outs, and business transformations that drive tangible shareholder value improvements. Chapman is a graduate of Harvard Business School and a licensed CPA.
Andrej Danis (TMT, New York) advises on large-scale transformation projects in telecoms, and he has experience leveraging new technologies (RPA, machine learning, NLP) to accelerate transformations and improve operational and organizational metrics. He focuses on helping companies address upcoming investment challenges such as 5G deployment, fiber roll-out, and fixed mobile convergence. Prior to joining AlixPartners, Danis was with Deutsche Telekom and T-Systems where he worked in the transformation office. He has a law degree from University of Trnava, Slovakia and a PhD in economics from Pan-European University, Slovakia.
Marco Di Marino (retail, Dallas) has led more than 50 client engagements across retail, consumer packaged goods, corporate development, and M&A that focused on both growth and cost reduction. Before AlixPartners, he was with the Boston Consulting Group, where he was a principal. He then joined the executive team of retail start-up Jyve! in San Francisco. Di Marino has a master’s degree in strategic finance and accounting from Bocconi University.
Sudipta Ghosh (automotive & industrial equipment, Detroit) has over 27 years of experience in management consulting and industry, working extensively in the automotive and industrial equipment sectors as well as supporting clients at PE firms, aerospace and defense, resources, and the food and beverage industries. Prior to joining AlixPartners, Ghosh was a managing director at Accenture leading the aftermarket vertical for the automotive and industrial equipment strategy practice. Ghosh has an MBA in corporate strategy and operations from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Clemson University.
Jamey Hamilton (risk advisory, New York) specializes in assisting clients facing complex data issues and in implementing best practices—particularly in high-profile litigation and regulatory matters. Previous projects have involved managing cases subject to the data privacy laws of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the European Union. Prior to joining AlixPartners, she worked in electronic discovery. Hamilton has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.
Josh Hubbard (consumer products, Chicago) has helped clients generate more than $1 billion in value by addressing issues involving pricing, sales growth, customer profitability and strategy, and operational cost reduction in the areas of supply chain, procurement, and selling, general, and administrative expenses. Hubbard focuses on the consumer product and transportation industries. Prior to rejoining AlixPartners, he was senior vice president transformation at CEVA Logistics. Hubbard has a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
Burak Kiral (private equity, Los Angeles) has over 20 years of combined consulting and industry experience with a focus on serving PE clients, portfolio companies, and corporations across the end-to-end M&A transaction life-cycle to help generate timely and differentiated returns from their investments, create competitive advantage, and generate cash to support growth. Previously, Kiral was with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he served clients in strategy & operations. Prior to BCG, he was with Samsung Group in South Korea and Stellantis (f.k.a Fiat Chrysler) in Europe. Kiral has an MBA from London Business School and a bachelor’s degree in materials and metallurgical engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey.
Thomas Kohler (performance improvement, Boston) has 20 years’ experience as a marketing leader and go-to-market expert, helping companies drive growth and bottom-line impact by setting C-level executives’ agendas, building high-performing teams, and delivering results in a hands-on, data-driven, and collaborative fashion. Prior to AlixPartners, he led marketing for Wayfair’s specialty retail and luxury brands and was a partner and associate director at the Boston Consulting Group. Kohler has a PhD in marketing and behavioral research from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.
Matt McCauley (energy & process industries, Houston) has led numerous operational due diligence and profitability improvement programs through close interaction with senior executives and investor stakeholders at manufacturing, industrial, and energy companies. His areas of expertise are direct and indirect procurement cost reduction, manufacturing footprint optimization, organizational design, capital program optimization, and selling, general, and administrative (SG&A) cost reduction. Prior to AlixPartners, he was a senior manager at Booz & Company, where he led the firm’s profitability improvement platform in energy. Matt has an MBA in strategy and energy from Columbia Business School.
Etienne Muselier (aerospace & defense, New York) has more than 18 years of hands-on consulting experience in Europe, North America, Middle East and South-East Asia. Etienne covers a wide range of issues and situations in the A&D industry, including in the areas of business development, M&A, post-merger integration, operations, procurement, supply chain strategy, organization design and change management. Prior to joining AlixPartners, Etienne worked for Kearney in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He graduated from HEC School of Management, Paris.
Dan Ritter (chief financial officer, New York) has more than 25 years of financial management and accounting experience. Ritter is a Certified Public Accountant who has worked in accounting firms, corporations, and as both a consultant and in finance roles at AlixPartners. He has experience across development and analysis of business plans and restructuring alternatives, transaction due diligence, cash forecasting, treasury management, financial accounting & reporting, working capital improvement, as well as providing financial transaction support and refinancing to global Fortune 500 companies. Ritter holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Michigan University.
Sudeep Suman (performance improvement, New York) has more than 20 years of consulting experience specializing in cost transformation, global trade, supply chain, organization design, customer and product profitability, turnaround, restructuring, divestiture, and M&A. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was a senior manager at EY in transaction advisory services and focused on diligence, synergy, sourcing, supply chain, working capital, cost improvement and S&OP. Prior to EY, Suman was a principal at Manhattan Associates and worked in supply chain optimization, planning, inventory, logistics, distribution, and fulfillment. He has an MBA from Emory University and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
Scott Tandberg (turnaround & restructuring services, Chicago) has more than 15 years of experience in numerous roles to address the financial and operational health of organizations. Tandberg specializes in developing turnaround plans, establishing cash-centric organizations with liquidity visibility, developing meaningful financial forecasting processes, creating lean and efficient cost structures, and guiding companies through the complexities of restructuring. Tandberg has a master’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and is a chartered financial analyst, certified public accountant, and certified insolvency and restructuring advisor.
Joanne Taylor (digital, Detroit) has more than 25 years of industry and consulting experience. Her areas of expertise are in leading complex company-wide and business unit programs that include operational efficiency and productivity, G&A cost alignment, IT strategy, digital transformation strategy and operational enablement, operating-model improvement, customer success efficiency, and shifts to lower-cost operating models. Taylor has an MBA in information systems management from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business.
AlixPartners also welcomed Scott Pinsonnault as a Dallas-based partner and managing director in its turnaround and restructuring team. He brings more than 25 years of experience in large and complex turnarounds, with broad technical expertise in energy and the upstream oil & gas and oilfield services sectors, as well as extensive leadership experience in complex financial and legal restructuring, including C-suite interim management roles as CEO, CFO, and CRO, and has served on boards of directors. In addition, Pinsonnault has worked as an energy investment professional at GE Structured Finance Energy where he oversaw more than 40 reserve-based LP investments and other credit opportunities in O&G. He began his career at Texaco.
Pinsonnault holds an MBA from Tulane University, a master’s degree in geology and geophysics from Texas A&M University, and a bachelor’s degree in geology from St. Lawrence University.
