Sia Partners has opened a new office in Rotterdam, the firm’s second office in the Netherlands.
Since its launch in the Netherlands in 2009, Sia Partners has been serving the Dutch market from its hub in Amsterdam. With the ambition to grow into a 100 strong team, the consutlancy has now extended its footprint – adding a second location in order to operate closer to its clients, and future talent.
“Rotterdam is a key hub for the development of the European and Dutch economy”, said Jean Trzcinski, Managing Partner of the Belgium and Netherlands region. “The capabilities of Sia Partners are directly in line with strategies of the local area for greener, more resilient and efficient industries/services ”
Sia Partners is already present in the second economic city with many major clients ranging from financial institutions and utilities to heavy industry. “But we see a lot of growth potential in Rotterdam strengthening existing and developing new economies, especially in the corridor between the harbors of Rotterdam and Antwerp (where Sia Partners recently also launched an office).”
Sia Partners is building a hybrid model on the foundations of “a close-to-client strategy with a human centric approach at the heart”, through a network of agile working hubs. In the past year alone, Sia Partners launched 10 new locations worldwide.
Founded in 1999, the European consultancy currently has over +2,400 consultants in around 20 countries. The aim is to hit the 3,000-employee milestone next year.
Tapping new talent
With a base in Rotterdam, the firm also expects to develop relationships with the universities in Rotterdam and Delft. “Sia Partners will offer opportunities in management consulting for bright minds that cherish the South Holland region. Our values can offer them a great place to work, full of challenges and personal growth.”
Leading the new venture is Nabeel Siddiqie, a former Big Four consultant (10+ years at Deloitte and PwC) who has been tasked with establishing and growing the operation. He brings 15+ years of experience to the firm, most recently serving at DXC Technology, specialising in cyber security and risk management services.
The new office will focus on clients across sectors, including pharmaceuticals, utilities, financial services, retail, telecom, shipping, transport, and high-tech, and focus on cyber, transformation, marketing & customer experience, digital and sustainability. “As we grow the office, we will leverage our global suite of services”, said Siddiqie.
