Some six months after beefing up its Oceania practice with Pollen Consulting Group, Argon & Co has acquired Intent Group – bolstering its team in New Zealand with around 20 consultants.
“This represents another exciting step in Argon & Co’s expansion strategy,” said Yvan Salamon, CEO of Argon & Co, reflecting on the firm’s sixth deal since the 2020 rebranding as Argon & Co and the arrival of French investor Ardian.
Following the deal, Argon & Co now has a team of around 100 consultants and staff in Oceania (globally: around 450 employees), operating out of offices in Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland.
Intent Group was founded in 2003 and brings deep manufacturing excellence experience across a broad range of industries. The Auckland-based operational improvement consultancy specialises in supply chain, procurement, finance and shared services.
Paul Eastwood, Managing Partner of Argon & Co in Australia and New Zealand, said: “Intent Group complements our existing offering and enabling a market leading full end-to-end supply chain proposition for the local market. Like Argon & Co, they have a passion for people development and helping clients improve business performance.”
Salamon added: “Intent Group are experts in their field and have made a big impact in New Zealand with an impressive set of credentials. We are pleased that they have joined us and will be adding value to our clients not only in Australia and New Zealand, but also on a global scale.”
Commenting on the joining of forces with the global player, Intent Group founder Ian Walsh said: “We were formed with the vision of helping New Zealand organisations become truly world class and ensuring their survival and growth through deploying global best practice. By joining Argon & Co we will be able to offer leading operational and digital capability into the local marketplace giving our clients the opportunity to take their performance to the next level.”
