Capgemini has acquired Knowledge Expert, a Swiss IT consulting firm with around 100 staff.

The deal is Capgemini’s second in Europe this year, following the acquisition of financial services consultancy Chappuis Halder, which was integrated into the consulting wing, Capgemini Invent. Outside of Europe, Capgemini has so far in 2022 closed several deals.

Geneva-headquartered Knowledge Expert helps clients with enhancing their customer relationship management and business processes through the use of Pega technology. The firm is a certified Pega partner and has delivered projects in sectors including financial services, pharma, consumer goods, energy, telecom and government.

Commenting on the acquisition, Jérôme Siméon, CEO of Capgemini’s Southern Europe business unit, said: “Knowledge Expert has built a reputation of industry leading capabilities to deliver digital transformation programs with agility, quality and on time. Their team will bring great value to the development and delivery of our offerings across Europe.”

Meanwhile, for Knowledge Expert, joining forces with Capgemini (350,000 employees globally) means the firm will be able to “provide our clients access to a whole new level of business transformation services,” said Luc Dubouloz, CEO and Founder of Knowledge Expert. “Joining Capgemini allows us to accelerate our ambition, we are thrilled to start this next chapter in our history.”

In other deals in Switzerland’s consulting scene, Swiss management consultancy AWK over the summer formalised its partnership with Ginkgo Management Consulting (Germany) and Quint (Netherlands) to launch Eraneos Group. And earlier this year, IT consultancy Xebia entered the Swiss market through the acquisition of SwissQ.
