KPMG has appointed a senior figure with more than a decade of partner experience to lead its remit in the Midlands.
New Birmingham office senior partner Andy Bostock takes over from Karl Edge, who after six years in the role moves to lead KPMG's Private Enterprise business in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMA).
Bostock joined KPMG 26 years ago and brings experience in providing audit, governance, risk management and compliance services across the public sector.
Previously, he was KPMG's UK head of public sector audit, before moving to lead the Birmingham office consulting team in 2020.
Bostock said: "I am thrilled to be taking over the helm of KPMG's Birmingham office at such an important time in the continued recovery of the Midlands economy, alongside the all-important levelling up agenda.
"The Midlands has a great deal to be proud of just now. The Commonwealth Games is set to put us at the centre of the world stage, Birmingham is becoming an increasing desirable destination for blue-chip businesses, and HS2 will cement the region's pivotal position in the UK economy.
"All this combined provides long-term momentum for growth in the region."
Edge added: "Leading KPMG's Birmingham office has been an absolute privilege. It is fantastic to have supported the business community in the Midlands and played a part in the success of so much diverse ambition.
"Andy recognises the huge potential in the full range of Midlands' businesses, from family businesses to some of the UK's largest privately owned companies; they are in capable hands."
