Slalom, the global consulting firm focused on strategy, technology, and business transformation, today announced that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Supply Chain Competency. This is Slalom’s 15th AWS competency. This designation recognizes Slalom for helping customers solve their critical supply chain challenges.
Achieving the AWS Supply Chain Competency differentiates Slalom as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member with validated expertise and proven customer success delivering supply chain solutions for companies of every size and segment to enhance their responsiveness to customers, strengthen their resilience to disruptions, and become more responsible to the environment and global community.
“At Slalom, we have been laser focused on helping our clients build flexible, responsive, fast (aka Agile) supply chains for the last several years and especially now, due to the pandemic, world supply chain agility has become an imperative for every company,” said Slalom senior director Harshad Kanvinde, who leads the supply chain practice globally. “By earning the AWS Supply Chain Competency, we continue to illustrate our unique approach to transformation and our ability to leverage services provided by AWS. Our customer-obsessed mentality and bias for action in solving for supply chain challenges positions us well to work with AWS in building sustainable, resilient supply chains for our customers.”
AWS enables scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions for all types of organizations, from start-ups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify AWS Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
Improving supply chain processes by way of digital transformation is fundamental but requires a holistic change to the transformation approach. Establishing strategic goals related to resiliency and sustainability is paramount, but translating those goals into tangible, solvable problems empowers supply chain leaders to operationalize the transformation and realize the value sooner. Slalom’s Agile approach to transformation fosters a spirit of experimentation and complements digital transformation well when tools and assets, like those built on AWS, are incorporated into the roadmap. Operators of the supply chain—who are the lifeblood of any organization that produces and transports goods—are empowered to serve their clients faster and more efficiently.
“With AWS, we are able to rapidly design, build, and iterate solutions that empower the operator to do their job better,” said Ryan Morrissey, a Slalom principal consultant focused on supply chain. “When our clients are charged by their boards to ‘improve the supply chain,’ regardless of focus area, from forecasting and planning to manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation, we have confidence that building our solutions on AWS will realize a client’s desired improvement for the use cases in focus, and in a faster manner than traditional digital transformation.”
