AlixPartners, the global consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Dan Ritter as Chief Financial Officer, leading the firm’s finance functions globally. Dan becomes a member of AlixPartners’ senior management team and reports to the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Simon Freakley.
After four successful years as AlixPartners’ CFO Lisa Carnoy has decided to move on to one of her other interests. She is co-Chair of Trustees of her alma mater Columbia University, and she has been asked to take on the role in leading the search for a new President for Columbia.
During his nearly 20 years at AlixPartners, Dan spent 11 of those years as a consultant; first, in the firm’s Turnaround & Restructuring Services practice and then in the Risk Advisory practice. Most recently, he has overseen firmwide planning and investments, real estate, global services, and procurement.
“I am delighted that Dan is stepping up to take the role of CFO at AlixPartners. His deep understanding of our business and our clients, and his technical expertise will add significant value to our firm and the work we do for our clients,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “I am grateful for Lisa’s tremendous contributions to the firm and wish her every success in her new chapter. She has been a true leader at AlixPartners and a terrific partner to us all.”
