Pan-European procurement consultancy Inverto has bolstered its leadership ranks with Jürgen Wetzstein, who becomes the firm’s 57th managing director.

Wetzstein, who is based in Inverto’s Munich office, brings 18 years of experience to the firm, most of which he gained in the world of consulting.

Following a three year spell at Bosch in its procurement department, Wetzstein went on to work for PRTM Management Consultants (acquired by PwC in 2011), Strategy&, Accenture, and most recently Alvarez & Marsal, where he latterly served as the European procurement leader of its Procurement practice.

During his career, he advised dozens of companies on procurement and supply chain topics, from strategy through to execution. He focuses on industrial clients, in particular in the automotive and mechanical engineering segments.

“With his expertise, especially in the area of industrial goods, Jürgen will further strengthen our team and help drive our growth,” said Lars Peter Häfele, Managing Director at Inverto and Head of the Munich office.

Founded in 2000 in Germany, Inverto is an award-winning procurement and supply chain management consulting firm. Since 2017 the firm is part of Boston Consulting Group, one of the world’s leading consultants to board members. Today, Inverto has over 350 consultants in six countries.

Commenting on his move from Alvarez & Marsal to the specialist player, Wetzstein said: “Inverto’s deep expertise in procurement and supply chain management with the global network and strategic orientation of the parent company Boston Consulting Group offers clients a broad spectrum of expertise from a single source. I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth ambitions.”
