ITI, a Quebec City-based IT consulting firm, has acquired D2V Analytics, a boutique cloud business intelligence (BI) and analytics consultancy based in Montreal.

Founded last year, D2V advises clients on Bi and analytics roadmap strategy, analytics engineering foundations, and visualization and advanced analytics. The firm’s Cloud Stack managed services offering provides small- and medium-sized businesses with a turnkey BI platform. D2V’s flexible, pay-per-use model utilizes top cloud platforms and gives clients the freedom to operate across hybrid and cloud environments.

D2V has a team of two professionals, according to LinkedIn, and is led by Vadim Shvarts, an experienced IT sector leader. Prior to co-founding his company, Shvarts spent over seven years at cloud computing firm Nutanix, where he was latterly regional director for the Canada East business. Before that, he spent over six years at VMware, a cloud computing and virtualization technology firm, where he was cloud management team lead for Eastern and Central Canada.

ITI’s acquisition of D2V will improve the firm’s data management methods and enhance its strategic IT consulting offering, according to a company press release.

"ITI is positioning itself as an ally in the transformation of Canadian organizations. We want to grow our expertise beyond IT to help clients with all their business needs. The expertise Vadim Shvarts and his team at D2V Analytics bring to the table will give us a leg up so we can better understand and advise our clients and help them achieve their vision,” said Jonathan Legault, president of ITI.

ITI was founded in 1991 and has grown to a team of more than 450 people across offices in Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and Kingston. The consulting firm supports private and public sector clients with technology services ranging from IT strategy consulting to solutions implementation, including procurement and management of IT infrastructure – delivered in partnership with client staff or outsourced through ITI’s consultants.

ITI’s technology partners include Microsoft, IBM, and Nutanix.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the ranks of ITI, a trusted partner with an excellent reputation,” Shvarts said. “With our data analytics solutions, we can continue to grow while contributing to the success of ITI by adding value to their strategic consulting services."
