AlixPartners, the global consulting firm, proudly announced that for the fifth year in a row it has earned a perfect score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), ranking AlixPartners among the HRC’s 2022 “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”

CEI is a national benchmarking survey that evaluates the LGBTQ-related corporate policies and practices of more than 1,000 companies, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. As an employer who received a perfect score, AlixPartners continues to be among the ranks of companies who satisfy all of the CEI’s criteria and receive the designation “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”

In 2021 AlixPartners partnered with numerous non-profits, from those that offer mental support to LGBTQ people, to those providing housing to displaced LGBTQ youth. The firm also expanded its Workplace Gender Inclusion Support Guidelines to EMEA, launched a new initiative to provide support to those who may consider coming out in the firm or at home, and kicked off implementation of Self-ID.

“I continue to be impressed by the diligence, commitment, and hard work of our people to advance policies, benefits, and practices for the LGBTQ community across all of our offices around the world,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “We believe inclusion, diversity, and mutual respect are critical to our success in delivering excellent results for our clients.”

“We are deeply committed to supporting the LGBTQ community internally as well as in the communities where we live, through philanthropy and volunteering,” added Filip Nemeth, a Director at AlixPartners and PrideMatters ERG Global Leader. “This has been especially important over the past year, as the Covid pandemic has disproportionally impacted marginalized groups that may feel further isolated.”

Inclusion and diversity are fundamental to AlixPartners’ core values. In addition to the policies and procedures reviewed by HRC, AlixPartners has created the opportunity for team members from across the firm’s international footprint to participate in Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to help foster an inclusive and diverse workplace that aligns with AlixPartners’ mission and core values. ERGs provide an official platform for learning and leadership development and cross-cultural business integration. Today, over 64% of employees participate in our ERGs.
