L.E.K. Consulting announced that Simon York has joined the global strategy consulting firm as a Partner and will lead the Australian Financial Services practice.
Based in the Sydney, Australia office, York has extensive experience in corporate development and strategy in various segments of financial services in Australia and key overseas markets. He has particular expertise in transaction support, integration planning, leadership assessment, organizational design, due diligence, growth strategy and opportunities, partnership engagement and business capability assessment.
“Simon York is an experienced strategy consultant, transaction principal and business leader who specialises in creating value for clients by leading transformational and organic growth initiatives that address strategic opportunities. “During his career he has led or advised on over $28 billion of completed transactions across Australia, Europe and North America,” said Nick Holder, Head of L.E.K.’s Asia-Pacific Region and the Australia practice. “Simon is an asset to our clients, and we’re pleased to have him on our team.”

York has been a Senior Adviser for L.E.K. since early 2020. He previously held leadership roles at several leading global financial services companies in Australia, Europe and the US, and is a guest lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney School of Finance. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from UNSW Sydney.
