International consultancy Zanders has entered the Middle East through the launch of a new office in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).

From its fresh base in Abu Dhabi, specialist consultancy Zanders aims to emulate its global track record in the market for treasury, risk and finance services.

Zanders advises financial institutions and multinationals on the professionalisation of their finance, treasury and risk functions – from A to Z, spanning strategy and organisation to project delivery, as well as technology selection and implementation. The firm also has a number of proprietary tools under its mantle.

Companies on Zanders’ roster of clients include British Telecom, FrieslandCampina, Sanofi, Sony, and Swiss Re.

“We’re excited and very proud to host the launch of Zanders in the region. With various clientele, including multinational corporations and fintechs, Zanders’ roots in Abu Dhabi will roadmap a progressive journey forward thanks to the nation’s strategic location and ADGM’s robust global connections,” stated ADGM in a post on its LinkedIn account.

Abu Dhabi Global Market is one of the region’s hotspots for financial services, home to corporations, investment banks, fintech, private equity and venture capitalists, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers and consulting firms.

“We’re committed to enriching the region’s financial services sector and serving the growing need for independent treasury expertise within corporates in the region,” said Laurens Tijdhof, CEO and Managing Partner at Zanders. “ADGM is the ideal launch pad for our growth.”

Headquartered in the Netherlands, Zanders has a team of over 230 consultants working from offices in Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, Asia and now the Middle East. The firm is backed by MML Capital, which is providing the financial muscle for its worldwide growth ambitions.

The latest scoop by Abu Dhabi Global Market builds on a progressive campaign to attract market-leading consultancies into its ecosystem, with Zanders joining the likes of Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Oliver Wyman, and PwC – as well as 40+ other consultancies. Abu Dhabi itself is home to eight of the ten largest consulting firms in the world.
