Global advisory firm FTI Consulting has strengthened its team in Spain with Enrique Baranda, who has been appointed a Managing Director.

Based out of FTI Consulting’s Madrid office, Baranda serves as Co-Leader of the firm’s Business Transformation practice in Spain, a role he holds alongside Eduardo Díaz, a former Strategy&, Accenture and Big Four consultant who has held the sole remit for the past three years.

“Enrique has considerable experience in developing growth strategies and implementing successful transformation programmes that enable businesses to access new opportunities and navigate complex challenges. I look forward to working with him to further our capabilities and track record,” said Díaz.

Baranda brings more than 17 years of experience in strategic consulting and operations to the firm. He has led numerous large transformation projects with clients across various sectors, including energy, industrial and construction and has considerable expertise in performance improvement.

Most recently at EY-Parthenon, Baranda was a partner in the firm’s strategy service line. He has previously worked at other consulting firms, including Kearney, Roland Berger and Management Solutions.

Commenting on his move, Baranda said: “FTI Consulting has an outstanding reputation in business transformation, and I look forward to working with Eduardo and my new colleagues to help clients transform their operations and business models to anticipate and adapt to what is an increasingly demanding and competitive market environment.”

FTI Consulting’s Business Transformation practice helps clients with a range of topics, including strategy, purchasing, manufacturing and supply chain management. The wing is part of the Corporate Finance & Restructuring division.
