Private equity investor Amethis has promoted Toufic Khoueiry – a former consultant at Strategy& – to partner. He becomes the eleventh partner of the Paris-headquartered firm.

Toufic Khoueiry has been with Amethis in France since the summer of 2019, focusing on investments in the Middle East and North Africa region.

A Lebanese citizen and fluent in English, French and Arabic, Khoueiry spent his early career days in strategy consulting at Strategy& in Beirut, before moving into the investing scene, having spent eight years at NBK Capital Partners in Dubai prior to his relocation to France.

Khoueiry holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics & Political Science, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the American University of Beirut.

At Amethis, Khoueiry co-leads deal sourcing across the MENA region, and oversees due diligences and transaction execution teams.

He most recently led Amethis’ investment in Tarjama, a Jordan-based start-up in the language services sector. “Our investment in Tarjama exemplifies our strategy of backing exceptional and growth-focused entrepreneurs operating successfully in fast-growing sectors. We are excited to support the Tarjama team as the company embarks on its next chapter,” Khoueiry said.

Earlier, he led several transactions in the technology, healthcare, and consumer sectors, among othes.
