Partners in Performance has strengthened its European leadership team with the hire of Michael Träm, a veteran in the management consulting industry.

Appointed a Director, Dusseldorf-based Michael Träm has been tasked with expanding the firm’s client base in the region across several industries, including engineering and construction, energy and utilities, automotive, telecommunications and financial services.

In Europe, Partners in Performance has offices in London, Dusseldorf and Moscow, serving clients across the continent. Globally, the Australia-origin management consultancy has 600 consultants and staff working from ~15 offices.

“An appointment of this calibre is reflective of the positive growth that the firm is experiencing in the region,” said Guy Turner, a former McKinsey consultant who currently helms Partners in Performance in Europe. “Michael’s professional standing in Europe and his commitment to training and developing people will have a transformative effect on the firm’s performance in the region.”

Träm brings over three decades of experience in consulting and leadership roles in professional services, engineering and construction, automotive, finance, telecommunications, technology and energy and utilities to the firm.

Most notably, Träm spent sixteen years at Kearney (then: A.T. Kearney), where he grew the ranks to become its Managing Director for Europe. After that, he was the global CEO of the world’s oldest management consultancy, Arthur D. Little for around five years, in the run-up to the firm’s successful 2012 management buyout.

More recently, Träm was a Managing Director at HR consultancy Hay Group (now: Korn Ferry) and held the same roles at engineering firm Atkins and French manufacturing consultancy Avencore. Prior to joining Partners in Performance, Träm was the Managing Director and Global PMI Leader at Concentra Analytics where he built the German business from the ground up.
