Strategic consultancy Arthur D. Little has appointed a record-breaking number of new partners in the Middle East over the past six months, following strong growth during this period and a continued expansion agenda going forward.
Founded 135 years ago in 1886, and formally incorporated under its current name in 1909 by founder Arthur Dehon Little, Arthur D. Little is the world’s oldest consulting firm – a title which 1914-founded rival Booz & Company long claimed on its own website, but following years of pushback from within the industry, Booz & Company eventually dropped its claim when it rebranded as Strategy&.
In the Middle East, Arthur D. Little operates with offices in Dubai, Riyadh, Bahrain and Beirut, and is currently led by a 19-strong partner team. This number has increased rapidly over the past six months – at the start of 2021 the global strategy and management consulting firm had just 12 partners in the region.
The cohort of new partners consists of five external hires and two internal promotions:
- Pierre Mariani, Financial Services practice, Dubai
- Hasan Shafi, Energy & Utilities and Chemicals practices, Dubai
- Ashish Sharma, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Media & Electronics practice, Dubai
- Andreas Buelow, Financial Services practice, Bahrain
- Patrick Linnenbank, Healthcare and Life Science practice, Riyadh
- Lokesh Dadhich, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Media & Electronics practice, Dubai
- Joseph Salem, Travel & Transportation, Dubai
Commenting on the appointments, Thomas Kuruvilla, Managing Partner at Arthur D. Little Middle East, said: “At Arthur D. Little, a culmination of factors is behind our ability to provide innovative thought leadership and strategic thinking while upholding operational excellence. Our people form one of the most influential factors in this regard, and we are delighted to welcome our newest leadership team members.”
“By welcoming fresh perspectives and simultaneously rewarding from within, our people are inspired to be part of a collective effort that ensures we deliver differentiated strategy, innovation, and transformation expertise to all whom we work alongside and support.”
In the coming months, Arthur D. Little plans to further expand its footprint in the region with the launch of a new office (location still unknown) and the hire of over a dozen senior and junior members. “The coming period is one of excitement for everybody at Arthur D. Little in the Middle East, and we will continue to expand our presence while pursuing enriching projects,” concluded Kuruvilla, who is a global board member as well.
