Deloitte has acquired Aptys Consulting, a SAP Ariba consulting and implementation partner based in Belgium.

The deal is Deloitte’s first in Belgium since the February 2018 acquisition of Brandfirst, a marketing agency that was integrated into its Deloitte Digital division. The latest bolt-on of Aptys Consulting will add a 20-strong team to its Technology practice, and be merged into the SAP practice.

Aptys Consulting was founded in 2008 and specialises in Source-to-Pay processes leveraging SAP Ariba, Celonis process mining and mobile applications. The firm supports large and medium-sized companies with process design, solution development and implementation, and with project and change management.

“We already provide comprehensive expertise for SAP-enabled transformation programs, but we are always looking for opportunities to complement our services and grow our team to ensure that we can meet increasing demand and exceed our clients’ expectations. With this acquisition we complete our SAP services portfolio and will be able to serve our SAP clients even better,” said Rolf Driesen, Managing Partner Consulting at Deloitte in Belgium.

The addition lifts the size of Deloitte’s domestic SAP practice to more than 400 professionals, “who are all delighted that 20 experienced and dynamic Aptys Consulting team members are joining us,” said Yannick Jacques, SAP leader North & South Europe at Deloitte. “Their expertise SAP Ariba and mobile applications connected to SAP ERP are a great addition to our capabilities.”

Meanwhile, for Aptys Consulting, the joining of forces will provide the Belgian consulting firm with access to one of the globe’s largest SAP consultancies and technology powerhouses. Axel Beauduin, CEO of the boutique: “Joining our expertise with Deloitte’s large capabilities enables us both to serve our clients even better, and support more organizations as they embrace SAP.”

The deal comes within a week of Belgian procurement consultancy Kronos Group being snapped up by French professional services firm EPSA.
