Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced that Olle Lundqvist has joined the firm, as a Managing Director, to head A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) Group covering the Nordic region.

Mr. Lundqvist comes to A&M from Platinum Equity (Platinum), where he most recently served as a Senior Vice President M&A Operations in London. He headed Platinum’s M&A Operations work for their main fund ($6.5 billion) in Europe. Mr. Lundqvist brings more than 20 years of experience leading performance improvement and operational restructuring of companies. Concentrating primarily on operational due diligence, post-acquisition value creation, carve-outs, post-merger integration, and restructuring.

The addition of Mr. Lundqvist signifies the latest significant step in the ongoing growth of A&M’s PEPI practice in Europe, with Stefano Matalucci recently joining the firm as a Managing Director to lead the practice in Italy.

Mr. Lundqvist has acted globally across a wide range of industries, including business services, distribution and logistics, industrial products manufacturing and services, packaging and paper, travel and leisure, aircraft maintenance and services, consumer goods and private label products, construction materials manufacturing and distribution, automotive, chemical manufacturing and distribution, and large infrastructure projects.

Mr. Lundqvist’s appointment continues A&M’s pan-European expansion over the past two decades, starting with the 2001 launch of its London office. More recently, the firm has expanded across the Nordic region, with recent office openings in Helsinki and Oslo following the launch of the Stockholm office back in 2017. In addition, the firm has continued its growth across Europe, opening new offices in Düsseldorf in Germany, Zurich and Geneva in Switzerland and Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester in the UK. A&M now has 24 offices in Europe across 17 countries.
