LPA, a German technology services provider to the banking scene, has appointed a new partner in its consulting practice.

Founded in 1999 as Lucht Probst Associates (LPA), Frankfurt-headquartered LPA is a provider of technology and software solutions for capital markets. The firm has a string of major banks and financial institutions on its client roster, helping them optimise their workflows around topics such as interest rate and currency management, regulation, risk and compliance.

Operating alongside its Solutions division, LPA’s Consulting division combines the best of the firm’s deep domain expertise with a consultancy skillset, in order to advise and guide clients with their technology transformations. The consultancy offering supports clients both with the implementation of LPA solutions, as with broader digital transformation and operational excellence matters.

Joining Christian Behm and Hans-Joachim Lefeld at the helm of the consulting practice is Daniela Rothley, who brings over two decades of experience working in capital markets and investment banking both in Germany and across Europe. She has worked at both sides of the table – as a consultant and line manager in banking.

Most recently, Rothley was an Associate Partner at Infosys Consulting, and Head of the firm’s Capital Markets unit for Germany. Before that, she served Sopra Steria Consulting and SQS Group. During these years, she specialised in capital market advisory, front office operations, trade-finance, regulatory compliance, and software system implementation, integration and roll-out.

Commenting on her new challenge, Rothley said: “I’ve known LPA for the vast majority of my career and was impressed with the firm’s good market standing and reputation for quality. I’m honoured to now be a part of that team that has real potential to grow the business across Europe, and to help more customers implement LPA’s leading ideas and solutions.”

Peter Schurau, the CEO of LPA remarked: “Daniela’s expertise and years of experience will be valuable as we continue to develop our consulting offering. Throughout her career, she has shown an aptitude for identifying future client needs and provide additional value, something that will be critical as we continue to grow the LPA business.”
