The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), represented by its innovative arm the National Center for Artificial Intelligence, and IQVIA signed a memorandum of joint cooperation in the field of the health sector to explore opportunities of mutual interest and support innovation in the field of health data in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi; President of IQVIA for Europe, Middle East, Africa and South Asia, Alistair Grenfell and Senior Vice President and General Manager of IQVIA for Africa, Middle East and South Asia (AMESA) Amit Sadana.
The agreement was co-signed by the Supervisor of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence Dr. Majid Bin Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri and General Manager of IQVIA in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt Mohammed Mustafa Al-Badawi.
The agreement aims to strengthen the cooperation between the two sides to develop joint ideas and research in the field of data and artificial intelligence, build a center for innovation and knowledge, and exchange common experiences to develop training programs in order to activate the use of data and artificial intelligence in the health system and its companies.
For his part, the SDAIA president praised the unlimited support being provided to SDAIA by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, who is the chairman of SDAIA Board of Directors, and his continuous follow-up to enhance the joint work with various government entities and the private sector to achieve the goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. — SPA
