Consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has bolstered its Middle East service offering with the launch of a transaction advisory practice.
The new Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) will be aimed at private equity and hedge funds and will offer a range of pre-deal services including span deal origination, valuations, and vendor due diligence.
It will be led by Ali Anwar who has been appointed as managing director following his recruitment from Ernst & Young where he spent 15 years as an engagement partner.
“The practice positions us to advise Middle East-based clients, as well as those around the world, on domestic, inbound, and outbound transactions,” said Saeeda Jaffar, head of the firm’s Middle East division.
The opening of the Mena practice follows the launch of new TAG offerings in a number of European markets
