EY-Parthenon has added three new partners to its European Private Equity team – Georg Hochleitner, Simon Oertel, and Malvinder Singh
Hochleitner and Oertel join Alvarez & Marsal and Oliver Wyman, and will focus on the execution of Commercial and Operational Due Diligence projects as well as the implementation of post-acquisition Value Creation programs. Singh, who joins Alvarez & Marsal, will bring his proven expertise in IT transformation. All three new hires bring many years of experience in working with Private Equity funds and their portfolio companies.
These three appointments represent a further strengthening of EY’s Private Equity team of more than 5,400 people across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa (EMEIA) region and follow the appointment of London-based Stephane Baleston as EMEIA EY-Parthenon’s Private Equity Leader in February 2020.
Growth of the EY-Parthenon Private Equity team in Europe comes at a time when the appetite for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) runs at pace. According to the latest edition of the EY Capital Confidence Barometer, most UK executives (57 per cent) are planning M&A activity in 2021 – ahead of the US (45 per cent) and the global average (49 per cent).
Constantin Gall, partner at EY and Leader Strategy and Transactions in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (GSA), says: “We are very pleased to have added Georg Hochleitner, Simon Oertel and Malvinder Singh, three proven Private Equity specialists, to the Value Creation team in the EMEIA region. With their support, we will be able to continue our strong growth trajectory of the recent years.”
In addition to its core services in transaction advisory, the EY-Parthenon Private Equity team is increasingly focusing on the development and implementation of value creation and optimisation programs. EY-Parthenon already has a strong European Private Equity Value Creation presence and will continue to invest into Partner and team additions in the UK as well as Central and Western Europe.
Stephane Baleston, EMEIA EY-Parthenon Private Equity Leader, says: “Our number one goal is to continue to grow our Value Creation team in order to best support our Private Equity clients realise the potential of their investments across EMEIA. I am very excited to have Georg, Simon, and Malvinder join our European team, and further strengthen our offering in both pre-deal Due Diligence and implementation of post-deal optimisation and Value Creation programs.”
These new hires are pursuing EY's long-term commitment to Private Equity and efforts to strengthen and grow their dedicated team in EMEIA.
