As it looks to expand its expertise across the globe, BCG Platinion has announced three new senior appointments in Paris and key markets in South America and Africa.

As the IT architecture and solutions unit of Boston Consulting Group – one of the globe’s leading strategy consultancies together with McKinsey & Company and Bain & Company – BCG Platinion sits alongside several other business units BCG has established to broaden its international multidisciplinary offering.

The wing specialises in the development and implementation of business-critical IT architecture and solutions, and as the digital boom continues at speed, the world-wide roll-out of BCG Platinion has subsequently been accompanied by impressive results.

As the organisation looks to build on its success, and further expand its expertise around the world, it has announced a trio of senior appointments to its leadership team.

Valérie Chemla, has been appointed as a Managing Director in BCG Platinion’s Paris arm, while Ana Vieira has been brought into the firm’s Sao Paolo office as a Managing Director, and Isme Oosthuizen has been appointed as Associate Director at its Johannesburg wing.

Chemla takes up her role with extensive experience in leading a division of 1,200 technical experts at her disposal. She will focus on digital mobility solutions while helping clients to deliver digital-first solutions within complex environments. Having worked for more than 30 years in IT, consulting and media – at companies including StudioCanal, Vivendi and Ineum Consulting – her experience will be vital in helping clients create the digital assets that will allow them to bring an agile, human-centric approach to their infrastructure.

Commenting on her new challenge, Chemla said, “BCG Platinion is an exceptionally exciting organisation; one that is experiencing a tremendous period of growth. It is fast-moving, and already doing great things – choosing to be part of this was an easy decision. With a focus on using new and exciting technologies to deliver organisational transformation and industry-shaking change, BCG Platinion offers measurable and immediate impact – something that is beyond what many of its competitors can and, for customers, could be the difference between surviving and thriving in a volatile economy.”

Meanwhile, Vieira arrives in BCG Platinion’s Brazil office as a Managing Director, having spent close to 25 years with global technology giant IBM. Vieira is an expert in the LATAM market and has helped multiple clients to achieve their business goal by selecting, adopting, scaling-out, and managing their technology investments. Operating from Sao Paulo, she will help clients to manage large complex technology transformations and deliver instant business impact.

Vieira remarked, “My long tenure at IBM has given me the opportunity to work in a number of different business units, and taking insight from each of them has provided me with a broad perspective on the technology sales process that I’m looking forward to applying at BCG Platinion.”

Finally, Oosthuizen takes up her role as Associate Director at BCG Platinion’s Johannesburg office, where she will provide an extra level of support for clients in the region as they look to define their digital journeys.

She has a track record of successfully delivering multiple complex projects in this area during her time at a range of leading professional services firms including EY, and Deloitte, and brings more than 18 years of experience in technology consulting, with a further background in data architecture and data analytics in the context of large-scale digital transformations.

Oosthuizen stated, “I’m delighted to be joining BCG Platinion, and it is a great privilege to be part of the organisation’s journey forward in South Africa and beyond… As an established, industry thought-leader it is easy to admire the work and projects that BCG Platinion has already enabled. I’m excited to be part of the leadership team and to help continue this momentum.”
