International treasury and risk consulting firm Zanders has per 1 January 2022 expanded its leadership team with six principals.

Four of the new principals are based in the Netherlands, where Zanders is headquartered: Martijn de Groot, Erik Vijlbrief, Hendrik Pons and Koen Reijnders. De Groot and Vijlbrief are both a member of the firm’s Financial Institutions practice; the prior focus on services in the field of credit risk and data analytics, while the latter specialises in model risk management and asset & liability management.

Pons and Reijnders both focus on clients in the public sector. Alongside their work for governments, public institutions and municipalities, the duo has been tasked with expanding two of Zanders’ offerings in the sector: a cloud-based treasury solutions (TREASURYnxt) and managed services for funds in the Netherlands and abroad.

Based in the United Kingdom, Birgita Gjirja will focus on further growing Zanders’ London-based team, scaling up the corporate treasury services in the Nordics and intensifying the collaboration with channel partner FIS. Zurich-based Martijn Wycisk will further develop the firm’s financial risk management footprint in the DACH region and spearhead the opening of a new office in Germany.
