ECG Management Consultants, a national healthcare consulting firm, has promoted company veteran Christopher Collins to the president. He remains based in Boston.
As president, Collins will oversee all consulting divisions and corporate operations, as well as lead efforts to align the firm’s strategy and operational service offerings.
Collins, a principal who joined the firm in 2005, currently leads ECG’s academic healthcare division and the Boston office, and also serves as lead liaison to affiliate company Siemens Healthineers – one of the globe’s largest Medtech firms. He will continue to advise academic medical centers and children’s hospitals on strategy, organizational design, and major transactions.
"I am grateful for the opportunity and excited to build upon our nearly 50-year history of service excellence with a relentless focus on our clients' evolving needs in a highly complex industry," said Collins. "The quality of a professional services firm is a direct reflection of its people, and I am privileged to be surrounded by the most talented and dedicated healthcare consultants in the business."
Prior to joining ECG, Collins spent two-and-a-half years as a principal in the Center for Health Innovation at Noblis, a non-profit science, technology, and strategy consultancy serving government clients. He began his career at PwC, where he spent four years and was a manager in the firm’s healthcare segment.
Collins holds a master’s degree in health care administration from The George Washington University School of Business.
"This role is a natural fit for Chris," said Gary Edmiston, CEO of ECG. "He is a highly respected leader, embodies the values of our firm, and gets results. I and our senior executive team look forward to working more closely with him in this next chapter at ECG."
Founded in 1973 and headquartered in San Diego, ECG provides strategic, financial, operational, and technology consulting to hospitals, health systems, and payers. The firm’s offerings include enterprise strategy, M&A and partnerships, valuation, payer contracting and reimbursement, revenue cycle optimization, digital health, and IT strategy.
ECG has more than 440 employees across 10 US offices, according to LinkedIn.
