Global management consultancy EFESO Consulting has strengthened its team with the hire of Louis Catala.

Appointed a Vice President, based in Paris, Louis Catala brings over two decades of experience to the firm, most of which gained at leading consulting firms. After starting his career as an engineer in oil & gas at Total and healthcare at General Electric Medical Systems, he subsequently spent around fifteen years at Accenture, Sia Partners, Mazars, and a boutique French consulting firm.

Having grown the ranks, and gained consulting experience across sectors (energy, aerospace & defence, transport & logistics, private equity), most recently at Mazars Catala was Head of its Energy & Industry division in France, leading a team of around 140 consultants.

Over the past six years, Catala served Daher, according to its own records the world's oldest aircraft manufacturer still in operation today. While the company does manufacture a small number of planes, its core business nowadays is providing equipment, structural components, and systems that go into the airplanes from among others Airbus, Dassault, and Embraer.

At Daher, Catala was a Vice President of Performance & Transformation, focused on leading strategic projects aimed at delivering performance improvement, post-merger integration, and turnaround of underperforming assets.

Now at EFESO Consulting, a global consulting firm with 500 consultants across 35 offices worldwide, Catala has been tasked with growing the firm’s footprint in the aerospace & defence segment. He will also work with private equity funds on the value creation of their portfolio companies.

He specializes in offerings including strategy, supply chain, operational excellence, cost competitiveness, corporate finance, portfolio analysis, project management, data analytics, turnaround, and change management.
