Andrew Holderness and Nick Triggs have been appointed a Senior Advisor by global consultancy firm FTI Consulting.

The London-based duo will serve as senior advisors to to the firm’s Insurance industry practice, which helps insurance companies with a range of management consulting, financial advisory, technology and communications services. Andrew Holderness and Nick Triggs both specialise in merger & acquisitions and post-merger integration services.

Holderness previously worked for over two decades at global law firm Clyde & Co, where he was a Senior Partner and also the Global Head of the Corporate Insurance Group. He has advised clients in the (re)insurance market on matters involving flotations, mergers, acquisitions and disposals, MBOs/MBIs, joint ventures, start-ups, private equity transactions, reorganisations, and general corporate advice.

In particular Holderness specialises in the introduction and structuring of corporate capital to Lloyd's, and the formation of new Lloyd's managing agents and syndicates. Most recently, he served on the Committee of the Capital Lab at Lloyd’s as a part of the Future at Lloyd’s.

At FTI Consulting, Holderness will support engagement teams with strategic and legal advice to clients in the (re)insurance market.

Holderness currently also is a Senior Advisor to insurance company Paraline Group, and to boutique private equity firm Beat Capital.

Triggs has over 150 completed deals in the financial services industry under his belt, with a focus on transactions in the insurance market spanning the property and casualty, life, distribution, services, and fintech segments. His track record includes working on sell-side, buy-side, capital raisings, and strategic advisory projects.

Most recently, Triggs was Head of International Corporate Finance at Aon Securities, and previously, he was Head of European Investment Banking of US-listed Keefe Bruyette & Woods, and Co-CEO of the European business and Head of European investment banking of Fox-Pitt-Kelton, which was acquired by Macquarie in November 2009.

In addition to working in investment banking and mergers & acquisitions, Triggs gained experience in the consulting industry, having started his career at KPMG and Anderson Consulting.
