For the first time, Deloitte’s SAP practice in Denmark has a woman at its helm: Marianne Mia Jensen.

The worlds of enterprise resource systems (ERP) and more broadly IT consulting are known to be most male-dominated segments of the consulting industry. But in Denmark, this has not held back Big Four firm Deloitte to appoint a woman to take the reins of its SAP practice.

Marianne Mia Jensen brings over fifteen years of experience in IT consultancy to the firm. Most recently, she was a Director at itelligence responsible for the firm’s products portfolio and financial reporting offerings, and in her first spell at the German-origin SAP specialist (a NTT DATA company), she gained extensive experience in leading and supporting SAP advisory and implementation projects. Her focus is on the areas of finance, process management and ecommerce.

Deloitte Denmark employs around 2,500 professionals across 19 offices, and its SAP practice sits within its 800-strong Deloitte Consulting division. The unit supports clients with SAP-enabled business transformations, spanning design and build work, implementation support, technical and functional expertise, as well as support and high-end managed services.Marianne Mia Jensen and David Egebjerg ColganHeading the SAP practice, Jensen has been tasked with further expanding its domestic footprint and client base. Deloitte significantly boosted its SAP practice with the acquisition of Keytree. The move added around 400 employees to its roster across offices in the United Kingdom, India, Spain, Australia and Canada.
