The French wing of global consulting firm FTI Consulting has effective January 1, 2020 promoted two of its senior advisors to Senior Managing Director.

Based in the heart of Paris, on the iconic Boulevard Haussmann, FTI Consulting’s French division provides the firm’s full suite of services, spanning economic consulting, corporate finance & restructuring, forensic & litigation consulting, strategic communication and technology.

Two of the firm’s practices have now been bolstered with promotions: Matthias Cazier-Darmois, who works in the Economic & Financial Consulting practice, and Guillaume Granier, who is part of the Strategic Communications practice.

Cazier-Darmois has been with FTI Consulting for over a decade, joining the firm in 2009 after serving LECG and Deloitte in its Forensics & Litigation wing, a service line within Deloitte Corporate Finance. He has spent more than half of his professional career based in London and relocated to Paris in 2014.

The newly promoted Senior Managing Director has more than ten years of experience of assessing damages in the context of complex commercial disputes including breaches of contracts, expropriations of assets or companies, breaches of warranties and representations, breaches of fiduciary duties, transfers of shares below market value or unfair prejudices to minority shareholders. He has throughout his career been involved with over 40 cases in a broad range of industries.

Granier meanwhile celebrates his ten year anniversary at FTI Consulting this month, having joined the firm at the start of 2010 from TBWA’s financial communications team, where he advised clients such as ArcelorMittal, BNP Paribas, Carrefour, Ernst & Young, and Gemalto.

He is a Senior Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment, specialising in corporate and financial communications with a focus on image building, issue management, public affairs, and financial operations. He advises clients in various sectors, including financial services (Cinven, State Street, Nomura, Sun Capital), industrials (Mersen, Valeo, Klesch Group), healthcare (Ipsen, Urgo), technology (Oberthur Technology), retail (Camaieu, Dim Branded Apparel), energy (Puma Energy) and transportation (DFDS).

Other senior advisors in FTI Consulting’s French operation include Renaud Dutreil, Anna Adlewska and Christina Zinck (all working in Strategic Communications), Emmanuel Grand, Juliette Fortin and Patrick Hebreard (Economic & Financial Consulting), Stephanie Lhomme (Forensic & Litigation Consulting) and Thomas Sely (Technology).
