A COMPANY of consultants based at Broughton Hall, Skipton, is celebrating after winning three categories in the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) regional awards.

JBA Consulting won all three awards the firm had been shortlisted for in the CIWEM Tyne and Humber annual awards, which took place at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.

Stuart Mansfield, team leader with JBA, received the rising star award. He joined the company in 2014 and has been recognised for his significant achievements in research and development for flood modelling projects, post flood surveying, technical leadership in quality assurance, and for the delivery of flood modelling training courses and workshops.

Mark Bentley, technical director, won the career achievement award.

He has 35 years’ experience of computational modelling, working in the consultancy, research and regulatory fields.

The team of the year award went to JBA and Future Climate Info, together.

The JBA team works in collaboration with FCI to provide specialist flood risk advice which helps property buyers to determine and properly understand flood risk.
