A Nottingham engineering consultancy has launched an office in central Birmingham.
HSP Consulting Engineers has opened its new premises in the Colmore Building.
Launching with six senior staff, the office will be headed up by directors Nick Beecham and Sukhraj Ubhi, head of the geotechnical division Linden Baker, and HSP Consulting’s managing director Howard Pratt.
The business is already preparing for expansion of the Birmingham team over the coming months as well as further bolstering its currently 45-strong staff based at its head office.
The multi-disciplinary consultancy specialises in delivering all geotechnical, environmental, civil, highways and structural requirements for site development.
Pratt said: "We are delighted to launch HSP Consulting’s second office. The combination of the high number of existing clients in the West Midlands with the swell of schemes from new clients in the region made a Birmingham base an obvious choice for us.
"Offering multi-disciplinary expertise all under one roof provides our clients with streamlined, effective solutions, and we have seen demand for our services increase exponentially over the last five years.
"As a result, we are planning for immediate growth of this new Birmingham team, as well as at our head office in Nottingham.
"We look forward to welcoming clients to our Birmingham base and benefiting from the further-enhanced service that our expansion brings."
