A NEW REGULATORY consultancy will launch next month, offering “strategic regulatory advice” and hands-on support to clients in the crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending space.
Adempi Associates is set for launch on October 2019 and will offer advisory services to companies across the financial sector in the UK and European regulations that govern their business.
Adempi’s clients span sectors including crowdfunding and P2P lending, e-money and payment services, custodians and other holders of client money, venture capital and private equity, impact investing, corporate finance advisory, and wealth management.
The consultancy was founded by compliance veterans Gillian Roche-Saunders and Dena Chadderton. Roche-Saunders previously founded financial services regulatory consultancy Bovill’s venture finance division and later went on to establish BWB Compliance at city law firm Bates Wells. Chadderton worked as a compliance consultant at Bovill and as a senior advisor at BWB Compliance.
“We are thrilled to be launching Adempi and see this as the next step in leading the way in delivering the best form of compliance support out there,” said Roche-Saunders .
“We are taking all of the elements of consultancy that our clients love and providing the most direct and effective way to access that.”
Adempi’s launch follows the closure of Roche-Saunders and Chadderton’s former consultancy firm BWB Compliance, which was launched by Bates Wells in 2016, and will officially shut down on 4 November 2019. Roche-Saunders previously told Peer2Peer Finance News that she wished to continue her work in the compliance sector.
“Clients want to reach the expert and that’s the kind of access we’ll be providing at Adempi,” Chadderton added. “Relationships are key to giving great support but so often as you become more senior you get pulled away from clients – we’re changing that.”
