He has particular experience within high growth businesses, including IT restructuring following mergers and acquisitions.

Although his role will take him nationwide, Rowling will be largely focused on building and aligning the firm’s TMC capability with its wider consulting business in the Midlands.

Chris Knowles, partner and national head of Technology & Management Consulting at RSM said: “I’m delighted to welcome David to the team. He is very well connected and respected in the market and his arrival will bring a step change to our IT strategy and related services.

“Many of our clients are grappling with how to create an effective IT strategy to support their growth plans and we want to be their first port of call for these services.”

Mark Taylor, regional managing partner for RSM in the Midlands said: “Adding David to our team in Birmingham is another significant boost to our local capability.

“Although David’s role will be national in nature, I have no doubt he will have a considerable impact for us in further building our consulting business throughout the Midlands.”
