Grant Thornton LLP has acquired TayganPoint Consulting Group, a well-known life sciences consulting boutique based in the greater Philadelphia area.
Founded in 2009, TayganPoint advises global organizations navigating complex transformation management projects, with particular expertise in healthcare and life sciences. TayganPoint has a demonstrated track record of delivering high-impact, execution-oriented results in the fields of business transformation and organizational change, business process improvement, and strategy alignment and execution.
The acquisition adds meaningful scale to Grant Thornton’s rapidly growing Business Consulting practice and bolsters the firm’s Advisory Services Atlantic Coast market presence. Approximately 70 employees and five senior executives will join Grant Thornton from TayganPoint.
Co-founders Joy Taylor and John Cassimatis will join the leadership team of Grant Thornton’s Business Consulting practice as the go-to-market leader and life sciences industry leader, respectively. Andrew Hunter, Joan Walker, and Amy Flynn join the firm as managing directors.
“TayganPoint is a premier consulting firm in its space and shares our commitment to serving clients through quality, fresh thinking and collaboration – an approach we call ‘Status Go,’” said Srikant Sastry, national managing principal of Advisory Services at Grant Thornton. “Together, Grant Thornton and TayganPoint will offer focused industry expertise, paired with Grant Thornton’s range of accounting and consulting offerings.”
“In getting to know the Grant Thornton team, we’ve been struck by the cultural and intellectual alignment between our organizations,” said Taylor. “The future is all about collaboration across our organizations to bring innovative solutions to clients.”
