Global consulting firm OC&C Strategy Consultants has appointed Adam Xu as partner in the Greater China team.
Prior to his latest appointment, Xu worked for Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company), the global strategy consulting group at PwC, where he has been a partner leading its Greater China’s strategy consulting business for consumer & retail practice since 2014. He joined Booz & Company in 2006 and was also a member of the global Booz digital team, leading its China effort.
Based in Shanghai, Xu brings nearly 20 years of experience, with 15 years in management consulting in consumer and retail preceded by market research and banking, predominately in China. He will work alongside Jack Chuang and Pascal Martin as a fellow partner to drive growth for the firm in the consumer goods sector and to develop business strategies for the firm’s clients.
“Records in China retail are being broken every year and creativity by retailers in the sector is unparalleled. I bring an in-depth first-hand experience of how China consumers are reinventing retailing, which I am looking forward to putting to work for the benefit of OC&C clients,” Xu said.
Commenting on the appointment, Chuang said, “The pace of change and growth in China’s retailing sector is not matched anywhere. We are fortunate to have someone with Adam’s first-hand experience and high calibre joining our team to help spearhead our research and consulting in this important arena.”
