Cognizant has opened a new delivery centre in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The new centre, which will be staffed from local recruitment, is aimed at further boosting the firm's presence across Latin America - as well as meet increased demand for the firm's services.
American multinational consulting network Cognizant has added to its number of global delivery centres in Sao Paolo, further boosting its world-wide presence of more than 50 centres globally. Located in Brazil’s largest city, the group’s second centre in the country is a response to growing demand in the region for the firm’s digital business, operations and systems and technology services.
The new facility will support the firm to deliver its broad range of services to clients across the Sao Paulo locale, which currently includes 40 leading firms in, among others, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and consumer goods.
The latest Brazilian addition is also aimed at further strengthening Cognizant across Latin America, as it hopes to bolster its local presence in the region. The firm intends to use the new boost in capacity to allow it to fine-tune its offering to the region’s potential client base. To make good on its aim of staffing the centre with local expertise, the firm has begun to recruit experienced professionals and students from the region. New unexperienced hires will meanwhile be offered a range of training trajectories, from technical to more soft-skill focused programmes.
