Challenge:
Many boutique firms face limitations in gaining access to strong consulting talent, often having to rely on subject matter experts from industry as alternatives. One of Consulting Point’s clients decided to leverage external support to reach a more diverse pool of candidates, working with us to build out a more varied pipeline
Solution:
Consulting Point identified and presented a number of suitable candidates in a short period of time and after a series of first round meetings, three were selected for final panel interviews. When a candidate scheduled for the first interview withdrew to accept another role, we promptly re-engaged our longlist and secured a replacement for an interview the next day. Consulting Point worked with the client to develop a targeted brief, allowing candidates to best demonstrate the required skills; building relationships with C-Suite stakeholders while delivering Enterprise Architecture strategic advisory.
Result:
The client utilised Consulting Point’s offices for the final interviews, due to only having a regional office and all the candidates being London-based. After three positive meetings, two candidates were highlighted as being particularly strong and an offer was extended following a few days of deliberation. Our relationship built with the candidates allowed us to manage expectations and gain acceptance from the chosen candidate quickly, keeping the unoffered candidates positive about the firm and open to future approaches.
