When being retained on a project, we always look to fully understand the key elements of the company and the role that will make our search more effective. This is often much more around personality and team fit than just a skillset, especially in this case as we were working with a long-standing global tier 1 strategy consulting client in APAC. When reaching out to our network it was key that we were contacting people who were more entrepreneurial and team-driven, rather than those who enjoy working in the comfort of a large management consultancy.

After a substantial search, we were able to create a long list of candidates and then present a short list of a select few to the firm. All were of interest and as a result the interview process was started, this included seven interviews with the final one being with the Head of APAC of our prestigious client. One candidate shone through as being a particularly good fit and demonstrated a passion for continuing to develop, they saw him as a viable Partner within the business in the future to drive the digital agenda and top-line growth for their clients across the financial services sector.

Overall the whole process ran smoothly, relocation was sorted and both parties were able to start planning for their growth together.
