Our client is an emerging boutique Technology & Digital Transformation Consulting firm who tasked us to focus on securing some candidates within the Cyber Security & Technology Risk Advisory. Due to recent market forces the need for Managers had become paramount within the organisation, and our task was to find Consulting professionals with these skills.
The difficulty in the current market was that firms were attempting to keep hold of staff a lot more, especially at the higher levels. This meant Managing professionals were much harder to find within the Consulting space, so we went with a different approach. We identified a really strong Senior Consultant at a Big 4 firm who was ready for a step up into a Managerial position. The candidate impressed at a first stage interview and our client agreed that within their structure this candidate could thrive.
The selected candidate came from a strong academic background with a Mechanical Engineering related master’s degree from a top tier University. They also had broad Cyber Security experience in their previous role working with C-suite level stakeholders exclusively within numerous industries. An offer was presented to our candidate very quickly after the final at a Manager grade that they were very pleased with.
The candidate wanted to make sure that this was the right move for them. Our client acted fantastically to provide their chosen candidate with a great post-offer experience, this included an informal conversation and outing with their future line manager, as well as a discussion with HR to iron out any key details of concerns that had arisen from the contracts.
